Iowa and New Jersey -- Admiral "Bull" Halsey's frequent flagship -- entered action first, in 1944, to be followed by Missouri and (postwar) Wisconsin. On Missouri's deck in Tokyo Bay was where the Asian-Pacific War's peace treaty was signed.
