Le Hardi class wartime destroyer from ONI 203, French Naval Vessels, and ONI 204, German Naval Vessels

After the large Le Fantasque and Mogador class super destroyers, the wartime construction Le Hardis represented a different naval design perspective. Most of the gun armament was at the stern, and there was ample room for antiaircraft weapons.

These ships all came to be based at the French Navy's home base of Toulon, and they were all scuttled there on 27Nov42. The Germans tried to have an uncompleted ship of the class finished - hence it was listed with side view in ONI 204 - but that failed.

Finding 2-D plans for this class is very difficult, and I had hoped for better from ONI 203.
