Natori class Light Cruisers

These were typical of the prewar Japanese light cruisers, with their single 5.5" gun mounts, giving a broadside of 6 guns, and basic torpedo armament of 4x2 21" torpedo tubes.

Although not as powerfully armed as the later Japanese fleet destroyers, these light cruisers could take more punishment, and they were often assigned to be flotilla leaders of (8) destroyers.
