Simoun/Bourrasque class destroyer from ONI 203, French Naval Vessels

Construction of these destroyers began in the late 1920s, and they are typical of prewar French destroyers, with their high speed and heavy gun and torpedo calibers.

Although this class took heavy losses at Dunkirk (including Bourrasque sunk), many of its ships (including Simoun) served with the Free French and survived the war.
